this last weekends work

So i installed the new track bar and my sway bar stuff.

I have yet to decide if i like the change, i like cornering with the sway bar, so im 100% happy with that, but i was having fun freaking people out when i turn too. lol

The track bar is so so, I think my angles are much better well they match better, but i wish they were more parallel with the tie rod..

she needs an alignment and excuse the pissy *** paint job for now, I'm just trying to block the rust until i get more time to tear it all apart and repaint.

before...

after

picture of the sway bar and custom bent arms.

it needs an alignment and i think it will be fine after that. tis not really bump steer as it is suspension steer, you wont get away from that unless i make the track bar and the drag link more parallel to the tie rod.

Yeah that is what i think as well. I was hoping it would be ok, but its not.

do you have links? Or is that using the international knuckles? not that i really want to do it but i would like to know how they are doing it.

sorry prices have gone down, used to be like 700 something, now its like 550.

Just a note that the draglink uses a different taper then the stock one, so the steering you have now wont work.

looks like a decent kit, i just want that knucle, but heck i cant even run the wheels li have now! forget that, i think ill live with the little bumpsteer i have until i can have enough money for A D44, then ill do high steer and relocate the track bar once more.

i think my steering box and my current track bar mount is fine just needs changed on the axle...

you have to have wheels with 3.5" backspacing or less. mine are 3.625, i could prolly grind on the knuckle some, its only an 1/8 of an inch.

the next problem i would have is the track bar mount and the sway bar links....

any ideas on the track bar mount? there is no possible way to make it longer, or lower... i would have to raise the mount on the axle

nice work. yeah I'd prolly just wait for the D44 and then get it all right and perfect, instead of wasting time and money on the D30

I suppose ill mess with it again Saturday. A D44 is going to require alot more money.

wheels
bracket kit
steering
gears
driveshaft
highsteer
highsteer knucles
track bar modifications

That new panhard looks much better! I agree high steer would likely solve a lot of your problems, but the costs are just too much. Just get it aligned and start building that D44 as quickly as you can afford to =D
