Question on a lift

ok...I am looking into getting a 2" or 3" block lift for my 93 ranger. I called up a place and they said i need coil spacers for the front and blocks for the back. Is that true? I saw that at my local auto parts store they have the skyjacker coil spacers for 11.99 each and blocks for 34.99 a pair. Is that all i need? (I am having my friend install it for me)

Any help will be aprreciated.

Thanks

Coil spacers will net you about 1.5-2 inches of lift I believe. Personally I wouldn't stack lift blocks, it is a cheap way of doing it, and it is going to increase axle hop.

ONLY do cast blocks...stay the hell away from aluminum blocks. IMO...get shackles or an AAL or both. A short AAL should get you 1.5" and a chevy 2" drop shackle should get you about 1.5". I dont know those trucks well enough to give you good advice on the front...but I'd imagine a spacer or a replacement lift coil would do the trick.

I would do like shane said and get the shackle or AAL or even both. IMO i would stay away from the blocks.

I would suggest new coils for the front rather than a coil spacer. You'll probably need cast bushing afterward to get the alignment straightened out.

Dot for get with the 2 piece drive shaft if you lift more than 2 inches you need to adjust your carrier bearing .
