Suspension Damage

Today I went to get my oil changed, and decided that I was going to let them rotate my tires. Well after they changed my oil they came and got me and told me they couldnt touch my tires because I have suspension damage.

I've never heard of this, but it makes the insides of the front tires lumpy. He said the reason is prob. because I've lowered it some and I dont have very much travel till I hit the bumpstops. I agree with that, because its hard for me to get a finger in between the bumpstops and the A-arm.

Has anyone else ever had this problem, or does anyone know of anything I can do to fix it. I'm going to try and take it to the alignment shop later this week, because its been a while since i done that.

Did you not get it aligned afterward? That could of caused wear on the suspension then over time it messed up. I really have no clue tho

Yea, That was about 6-8000 miles ago, so its prob off again. It pulls just a little to the right, but its not too bad. And wavy is prob a better work than lumpy, it caused the inside of the tire to not wear smooth

There's a danger doing what you did. When the bars unload if your suspension travels full down, they can pull out of the key in the back or the hex hole in the front.

When you back off the tension to lower it, you've done nothing to down travel. But now, when you are full at down travel, there is little to no load on the t-bars.

If I were you I'd do something different to lower it or one day you may have an unpleasant surprise.
