Raising lowered back end

Hey guys, I'm getting tired of the crappy ride from the back end, so I'm looking to raise it an inch or two. It is an explorer axle with the leaves under. Can't I just flip the shackles or something?
Thanks,
Ryan

invest in some better shocks would improve the ride.

Get yourself a Belltech 6400 shackle. Put the leaf on the 2nd from the bottom hole for approx 3/4" of lift. Little brother did it to his 4/5'd '01. Leaf in very bottom hole = approx 1.5" of lift.

That is, if your rear hangers are in the stock location and orientation.

All hangers are in stock position on stock Ranger leaves. Shane, if there isnt a free method, I guess I'll do that, thanks

Yup, just do the belltech chevy shackle mod like i did. Makes it not hit bump stops so much...although i'm going to notch it here soon. Also gave it a nice rake...i'm not a fan of the level look.

If free is your only willing option, you could always lower the hangers some. The front can be lowered about 2.5-2.75". The rear only about 2". I'd do gussets between the hangers and the frame. Requires a welder. OR, spend the $50 on the shackles and have a nice sound stock unmodded totally reverseable rear end.
