Bilsteins and Superlift? Help!
I'm getting my superlift installed next week...
I want to go with bilstein shocks, and I need to know what you guys use.
Does bilstein make longer shocks with that little rod on the underside of the shock? Do I have to rig something?
Is it a bilstein 5125? Help?!
Other performance shocks will work too....I just need to know how to get a new shock with the extra 4''.

I'm running the same 5100's that come with the RCD kits in my rear.
In regards to the front, Rangers have a weird mounting system for the shocks.....stud to eye w/ bracket. I was playing with the idea of running eye to eye 5100's up front, using a jeep shock conversion up top, then pressing out those brackets from a set of stock shocks, and pressing that bracket into the eye of the 5100.
There's a guy here with an orange double lifted truck with flared fenders....running a superlift and those bilstein heavy dutys up front....used like a stock block motified to drop the top of the shock down to compensate for the lowered a arm mount.

So essentially there is nothing bolt on, with the exception of the superlift shocks? I'll probably just get the superlift shocks and use those so i can get this thing done, then figure something out later.
Will 2WD edge shocks mount the same? I found these...

Believe so....but I am concerned about them being for a spindle lifted truck.....aka stock shock length.
I vote get 'em! Make the fronts work!!
OH! note: I assume those shocks are for a COIL SPRING 2wd....they have the same style mounting as the 4x4's and 2wd EDGEs......the shocks stock length are shorter than the torsion bar trucks. I assume the fronts linked will work for a STOCK torsion bar truck, not a 4" lifted torsion bar truck using drop brackets....add a drop bracket up top, and I believe they'll work.
Would be nice if that auction listed part numbers...that way you can see what Bilstein says it's designed for.

I figured why make it more complicated than needed. Since no wheel travel is gained with the sl kit dropping the top of a stock length shock seems fine.
As mentioned I used stock rear blocks, works fine for me.
Shock extensions should work too, just make sure you get the right thread.
The bumpstops catch before the shock bottoms, and if you are worried about over extension you can add limit straps.
