Installing Fabtech 2.5

I'm getting ready to Install the 2.5 springs. I already have the spindle's and uppers installed. Any tips before i start? Will I need any special tools? I was thinking maybe a spring compressor, but won't the weight of the truck compress the springs down? It seems pretty straight forward, so is it worth me doing myself or is it one of those things you'd rather pay someone else to deal with? Oh, and will I need to extend the brake lines?

Fairly simple. You can rent the tool from advance auto to compress the spring safely and get the money back when you return it. The brake lines should be ok.

put truck on jack stands.
remove wheels
remove brake caliper/rotor
remove shock
break lower balljoint loose
place floor jack under LCA keep tension on spring
with spindle remove from lower ball joint, SLOWLY let floor jack down
once the spring has no more tension on it remove it
place rubber cap(if it has one) on the new spring set in the upper pocket first and raise floor jack
make sure spring is positioned correctly jack up lower control arm
reconnect balljoint to spindle
re install shocks/brakes
make sure everything is tight
put wheels on, drive around the block check for squeaks clunks, rattles..
drive around for a little while and let the spring settle then get it aligned.
