Rear Sway Bar

Hello all,
I recently replaced my bad 8.8 3.73 rear end with a used one. Everything was going well until I tried reattaching the Sway Bar. I was able to bold up the sway bar, but now it is in the way of me installing the new shocks.
Any thoughts? Do I need to unbolt the sway bar again and install the shock first? Seems like I'd still have the same problem.

I replaced all my shocks front and rear then decided to install a rear sway bar. I got it bolted up, but very little room for wrenching and took a long handle set of wrenches to reach up inside there to tighten the bolts and nuts.

Hey BobC,
Thanks for the response. Your right. Not a lot of room to get to the top bolts on the rear shocks. Did your sway bar get in the way of you putting on the right rear shock at all? I can't move the bracket for the sway bar down any further. Unless I move it up on the lip of the axle housing.
Do I even need a sway bar? I'm just using it to go to the dump.
Thanks

I wouldn't see why you need a sway for that,There made to go around curves fast without your truck leaning.
