Polyurethane vs steel spacers + lift shocks

Ok guys it's finally time to lift my truck!
2006 B2300(same as an xl ranger NOT t-bar)
Basically as the title states-should i go with polyurethane spacers(like the ones from fat bobs) or steel ones? I'm just doing 2" ones

Also I've been told i will want new shocks to go with this lift, I think I'd like to go with Rancho RS5000's but there is so many different models, Which did you guys do?

I already got some belltech 6400's for the rear

If you're doing shocks, go for bilsteins

I've heard they are better but also at a higher cost. Personally I bet the Ranchos would be enough

Poly will eventually dry up and steel will eventually rust so either way it's your call. Id go with steel if it were me

I originally wanted to do 2" longer coils but the only one I've seen is from Maxtrac but i can't find any reviews on them, nevermind anywhere to ship them to Canada

Bump. I'm still not sure what shocks to get, i know everyone likes bilsteins but I'm really trying to keep the cost down. However when i go on the rancho site I don't see any shocks for my coil front end(nevermind longer ones for the lift) I only see for the torsion.

So idk what to do..

Well I just looked at the bilsteins and it would be over $400 with shipping and taxes(Living in canada kinda sucks at times) however the only ones for a lift are meant for a 3" up front and 4" in the rear....I'm only going up 2"

When i go to order the spacers from fatbobs it gives me the option to add shocks to the chart, all it says is "performance 8000 series" but I'm guess they must be made for the 2" lift and for coil spring style...

New idea, what about the shocks from the fabtech 2.5 lift kit? They seeem like a decent price and fabtech is a well known brand, plus shocks rated for 2.5" lift shouldn't cause problems with a 2" lift

Why don't you just get a body lift?

Just get the bilsteins. I highly doubt that a 3 inch lift shock will hurt you if you're going for two inches of lift in the front. I may be wrong though

Ok but what about the rear? For tthe higher end ones (5100 series i think) they only have for stock or for 4" lift

Could I simply just buy the shocks meant for the 4wd rear? Those should be aprox 2" longer then my current ones

I don't have any experience with coil rangers/mazdas. But if they are two inches longer and mount the same then they should work... You can't be the only guy that has done a two inch spacer so do some searching outside of rf.
