Icon5 alignment/camber issues

Hey guys, just got back from Pep-Boys (the only place open today) to get an estimate on adjusting my camber. My wheels are slanted inwards towards the fender, as are many of yours, or were.
I thought it would be a simple fix, but noooo. The guy told me I had to get a "camber bolt kit" and that would run me about $50, he also said that the labor charge on such would be $180 PLUS the alignment, which was $70. This was shocking to me, idk, any input from you guys? Is it really that hard to install a camber bolt kit, and is this even what I really need?

If the factory fixed camber is out of spec (common when lifted), you'll need an adjustable camber kit for each side to fix it. It is possible to install the camber kits at home but is a little hard to get the bolts in past the brake lines and other stuff. You will need an alignment immediately after the installation. Sometimes, a shop will refuse to do the alignment if you install the parts yourself - it's wise to check in advance.

You would be replacing the 4 pivot bolts on the 2 upper control arms. In addition, you would substitute adjustable camber cams for the fixed camber plates that come from the factory.

FYI if you were thinking about upper ball joints do them at the same time since you have to remove 2 of the 3 bolts for them

if you are installing the camber kit then yes... the upper balljoints are cast into the upper control arm and to remove it you remove the two pivot bolts at the frame and the clinch bolt on the top of the spindle and when you put the new one in you just use the camber kit in the place of the pivot bolts
