I'm at a loss...

... on a mysterious shimmy in the steering wheel of my truck.

I was hunting bear a few weeks ago and driving down out of a logging road when I broke a tie rod end. I limped it home and changed the tie rod end. I counted threads so the alignment was close but not perfect and noticed a shimmy, assumed it had to do with the alignment being slightly off. I had an alignment done and the shimmy is still there at 55 mph and above. I thought it may be my cupped/old tires and they did not shimmy before due to the loose tie rod end, so I put new tires on it to as I needed them before winter anyways. It is still there. The ball joints and tie rod ends are tight. Front end looks and feels tight. Where do I go next with this?

...any and all help is appreciated.

By the way the truck is a '98 Ranger 4x4 4.0 auto ext cab.

Did you go through water ?
Being it was a 'few ' weeks ago , the front wheel bearings may have ingested some water and are in need of cleaning / repacking and tightening.

No water. Shimmy started after I changed the tie rod end and continued after I had an alignment done and new tires. I have not noticed anything bent I will look again tomorrow morning.
