Straight or Tapered Lift Block?

Im about to purchase a set of 2" lift blocks and most of the ones im seeing are tapered. Does a 2" block really need to be tapered on the ranger. I have installed plenty block on many different vehicles and cant say i have ever seen a small (2") block being tapered.

Idk if they have to be, but the 2" ones I have are slightly tapered. They've worked great and I haven't had any problems with them
