Rubber spacers never again

I pulled my front coils and put in 1" rubber spacers thinking this was a good way to do it. The spacers gave it a 1" lift and were fine for a while. I put them on the top of the spring and I guess because the spacer was tall it stopped the spring from going into the pocket it rests in. It looks like the spring was moving around up there by the rub marks on the spring. I would be driving along and it would start making noise and then go away. Trouble shoot that one!! The noise got severe yesterday so I pulled them out.
Really think about it before putting these %$#@&%$ things in.

You talking about coil spacers? I had 'em on my cherokee for the 3" lift...worst mod I could have done.

Get spindles.

what kind of spacers where they? sounds like some crappy universal ones. ones made for rangers go under the spring, and I dont think they even make a kit for 07s do they?

Yea they were the crappy universal ones. Here I am thinking I'm doing it the "right way" by not trying to force spacers between the springs and it still wasn't any good. I can find 2" springs all over the place but I will start looking at spindles.
What a pain in the butt job and having to do it twice was to much.
