Hey everyone my 99 xlt ford ranger sits lower on the rear suspension than the front. I bought the truck used, and i dont know why the back sits lower. Does anyone know? I would like the back to sit level with the front and how would i do that?

Do an Add a Leaf springs are probably just sagging since they're 16 years old

Seriously though.. your leaf springs are probably shot, maybe the shocks too. Does it ride like crap? Could be they took out the lift blocks (if you had them to begin with) because they like the Cali lean like a pre-runner.. or some other mod to lower the rear end. But.. it's probably just worn springs.

No it couldnt be the shocks because we just put some new ones on there, also new ball joints. Im not really an expert though so i didnt know what it could be

So put on new leaf springs? Yea the previous owner didnt do much to the truck. The shocks we took off were the stock ones from the factory...

Take a look at them.. do they have any arch left in them or are they flat. They should be a U shape. Measure from the ground to the center of the wheel well on the fender, see what the measurements are all around. You can always do other stuff to lift the rear if new leaf springs don't make it completely level.

thanks, ill look at them tomorrow and get back with you on the details, and i was looking for bigger tires for my truck. Its stock suspension and stock tire size. Whats a good fit that wont rub or require too many modifications?
