Chevy Drop Shackles

Is there anything more to drop shackles the disconnecting the leafs and installing the shackles?

thats basically it.. you'd probably want to jack the truck up a tad big to relieve the pressure from the leaves.. when i did mine i had to grind down the shackle a little bit.. it was a little too snug to fit

its an easy install overall

its an easy install overall
+1... I had to grind mine too! The steel sleeve inside the rubber bushing was just a bit too tight. Bench grinder - maybe 1/16" was all I needed on my '07!

Thats what I was wondering too. I saw some in the classifieds and was thinking of getting those if they were still available.

just look for a chevy lowering shackle.. its made by belltech.. i know they sell them at summit i would check that out.. it should on be like 40 bucks

Unbolt leaf from stock shackle, unbolt stock shackle, install new shackle, bolt leaf to new shackle. Pretty dang simple.

Just for those who don't know......drop chevy shackles on a ranger, lifts the ranger.........chevy lift shackles, lower a ranger.

you can get them at pep boys or and auto parts store

They are just installed in the back of the leafs right?
