Aftermath BL question
Well im kinda iffy about my radiator hanging around down there you know...One good rock or stump would rip her right out....I NEED to get a dang skid plate to protect her...Here this next month im gonna order the 01 front end stuff....I hate how my valance doesnt cover that radiator gap like the 01+.....
Should i take off that plastic radiator drafter thingy thats screwd into the mount???

haha....the radiator..don't worry about it...it's fine. sure, get a skid if you want. but i havn't heard of anyone with a body lift getting a rock thrown at the rad and destroying it.
Hell....i was rockin' stock w/o a valence.....driving it two years and wheelin' it two years w/o any issues what so ever.
heads up...what your looking at is likely the ac condensor....that's forward of the rad.

one save for me
and a save for Matt after he built a skid
if you climb around on stuff a lot and play in rocks I would get a skid cause a 2 hour trip to get a radiator sucks haha

hahahahaha
yea.. i remember that day, wrong line
and yea, 2 hours.. ONE WAY across austin and getting my tools, then all the way back across austin which was another 30 minutes easily, thennnnn 30 mins to fix it and clean up
not to mention that was a $250 adventure. with my 20% discount at autozone
so i spent $60 on some 1/4" steel plate and made this beast
and it got tested a few weeks later

yea, the plastic thing.. funny story.. shortly after i got my truck i saw another ranger with the plastic thing, looked under mine for it and all i saw were a few chunks of the plastic left between the screws and the frame
aka the plastic thing would do absolutly nothing to protect the radiator or AC condensor..
it cleans up the look of a Bl'd truck as well. w/o the valence atleast
from this
(like how shiny it is? same night.. yea we kept wheelin after we fixed it lol)
to what you see above
btw i just cut mine off my truck today.. and its not going back on if someone wants it.. but i'm not gonna ship it and my truck wont be driving for a few weeks so you would have to come get it lol

kinda fabbed. the bottom angled sections, the verticle pieces below the head lights, the part that wraps around the body?(maybe) and the top pieces of tubing are fabbed
it was origionally an XJ bumper yes, and then modified in more than a few ways to get the truely badass look
i think thats what its purpose is.. the part about stuff getting flung up.. if your being stupid plowing through stuff and boucing around on rocks.. that little noise isnt going to stop you from destroying it lol
