Shock color change?

Can you paint shocks? The reason I ask is because my Fabtech shocks are white are I have a red truck so I want to paint my shocks to match. What kind of paint should I use and what kind of prep?

Id use Plasti-Kote high temp. Primer first will help the paint stick. Use sandpaper and try to take off all the white paint.

mine are usually dirt or mud colored, but like he said, sand, primer, paint, and it should come out ok.

Thanks man, I have some Duplicolor Red and some primer. I figure I will play around with it this weekend and if all else fails just paint them black.

Red looks good. My MonoMax's are red and they look good from the back goin down the road. Id suggest painting your rear axle black.

I'll prob paint the shocks this weekend, and then paint the axle while I have everything apart at your shop in a couple weeks.
