Procomp ES1000?

Anyone running those? I need to get some new shocks and I am on a bit of a budget. Price is decent I can get them for a little over 100.

i have them on my truck. they are great shocks for the price. they made a noticeable difference in how my truck handle from when i took tjhe stock shocks off. im about to take my pro comps off soon though cause mine aren't quite long enough from my coil spacers and blocks. goin up to a stiffer shock next time too.

I dont really want a stiff ride. I have a bad lower back so a softer ride is better for me. How long did you run the 1000's?

I was going to make a similar thread, I need new shocks too. I have Fabcraps right now and feel every tiny bump in the road, even with 30psi in my tires. I'm looking for a softer shock.

No, it would bounce more if it was softer since there would be less dampening. Unbolt your back shocks and drive around, it will bounce like crazy since there is no dampening because there is no shock. It might be a little more bouncy with stiffer shocks since the suspension won't absorb stuff as much, but not as much as if you had a really soft shock.

I like my 9000's, they are perfect IMO for a truck. I like a firm ride...not stiff, but firm. I don't like bouncing, and with the other shocks that I had bouncing was an issue.

I ran Monroe Reflexs i think it was they were called and they were a really nice shock for the price. Smooth on the road and stiff when they needed to be. Overall great shock.

I wanted a really soft shock because I like a smooth ride.

I had the ProComp ES3000 and thought they were too stiff.
I had Rancho RS9000x and left them on the softest setting all the time. Still to stiff.

I currently run regular ol' Monroe Reflex shocks and like them. They seem fairly soft, which I like. I love putting my knee on the bumper and pushing it down 2" at a time!
