Shock mounts? Hole question.

I don't have any front shocks for my truck yet, but I just made some shock tabs for my truck this morning at school. I was wanting to know if all the holes on either end of the shocks are all the same size diameter? If so does anyone know the size of the hole so that I can drill them out.

12mm, 14mm, 16mm, 7/16" 1/2" and 9/16" are all common sizes but there are others too. My Bilstein 7100s are 1/2" bore Heims but came with 12mm adapters in the package. Best to wait until you have the specs of the shocks you plan to use.

Thanks Bob, I'm anexious to get these bad boys mounted. These will be the first thing I've ever 'made' for the truck.

I woudl hesitate on saying anything.. as quoted above, I'm sure the bolt size woudl be roughly compatible to any standard.. but just in case anythign si wrong, you definitely wouldnt want it to be too big on accident, might go ahead and wait till you get your new set in.. then pop it on a vice clamp and drill away =)
