Ok, so we went out to 4WP last weeked for the meet, and i got me a hi-lift and base. But since i was there, i was doing some research. I know 4WP sells a Pro-Comp 5.5-6" suspension lift for the gen 3 ranger, and many people have es3000 or es9000 shocks, and are good cheap shocks. So i ask the guy what it would cost for some new shocks for my truck. 6" higher in front and 4" higher in the rear. And they only have a shock for a 5" lift. SO i was like fowey!!! So he told em to find the stock length collapsed and extened, and we could go from there.

SO thats what im askin, whats the stock length collapsed and extended for a 97 2wd Xlt 2.3? ANybody?

 

hell its 3 bolts and it comes off, go measure one.

EDIT:actually unbolt it from the I-beam and compress it and measure then jack the truck up and let the shock extend down and measure it again v'iola.
