i have the stem adapter for the top but the bottom is the typical mounting style. How do you mount it? because the stock shocks have those two bolt type things that go through the swing arm. how do you take that flat piece with the two bolts off the old shock and put them on the new one? because the bolts have no head so i thought i shouldn't hammer them off, slide the bar out put it on the new shock and drop them back in because the bolt would turn as soon as you try to tighten the nut.

so your talking about the tab that goes through the lower bushing? it will push out with some force and some spray lube. might take a tap with a hammer but they will come out.

You can press the lower dog bone style mount out and press it on the new shock. Might ruin the bushing though, never tried it.

yes its like a flat bar but my quetion was the bolts that run through it have no hea they are just flat on top so if you get them out how do you out them back in and tighen the bolt since you cant keep them from turning?

Sounds like carriage bolts, which are supposed to be held in place by a recessed square cutout. Does the mount not have square cutouts that hold the bolt in place? If not, why can't you buy some regular grade 8 bolts?
