Shocks

Now, I know this sounds kinda funny...but what would it be like running no rear shocks?

I mean when you solid axle the front, there are no shocks used.

I was just curious b/c I was looking at b's truck and thinking about shocks at the same time.

It's REAAAAAALLY bouncy. Kinda fun, but I wouldn't want to drive around like that forever. It's kind of like driving a trampoline. You can imagine how old that gets.

When I put the superlift on my truck, it was missing the proper bushings for the rear shocks, so I rode shockless in the rear for 3 days. What a trip.

Off the top of my head (I could be wrong) but I don't think anyone that is SAS'ed has shocks in the front?

It was just a random thing that popped through my head.

wow....that is a new one by me.......you use shocks in the front....

the problem with running no shocks is that your springs are in more of a bind.....without the shocks they have all of the blunt force that the road is passing up through the suspension......which means you are more likely to bust a spring.......

i wouldn't recommed running no shocks....it just isn't a good idea...

Jey got some eventually i know. After riding shockless in the rear I wouldn't want it on my daily driver.

The shonuff SAS guy also has shocks.

it is just a random thing that popped through your head.....for a SAS to be done CORRECTLY it should have shocks in the mix........anyone who dont run shocks prolly never drives their rig on the road........

I think you misunderstood man!

I was meaning the "shocks" thing was random in my head.

Proper SAS would be done with shocks, but I don't see too many solid axle rangers with shocks in the front.

And with the solid axle shocks comment, I mean when other people (that I have seen) do the swap, they never use shocks...

Sorry for the wording, it was mis-interpreted.

i would bet if you ask him he takes his off to wheel.......when wheeling shocks are the limiting factor in your suspension.......

because most SAS'd rangers pictures are of them off road........it is really NOT good on springs to drive on road without shocks...

Thats pretty much what I figured, I mean, i've never seen ryans truck (or jeys) with shocks, so thats why I asked.

I bet it isn't too smooth of a ride
