need help...
this post is not for a ranger but maybe yall could help...
Im putting on a suspention system on my friends BMW 525it... Its one of thoughs Coil over shock/strut system. Well, the Strut/shock has a sleve that goes into the A-arm and a bolt goes through the sleeve to hold it in. The problem is that we cannot seem to get the sleeve out and we are at the point of no return lol... any ideas on how we can get it out...
by the way, we have already used hammers, air hammer, chisles, heat...

Try www.bimmerforums.com or www.dtmpower.net for your BMW needs! My buddy has an M3 and I hear those are probably the best forums for the BMW's.

is it the sleeve in the shock strut your are trying to get out? are you able to get to the inside of the sleeve? if you are and you are installing a new sleeve, the best way to get the old on out is to make a cut lengthwise through the entire sleeve, using a hacksaw, etc. that will relieve the tension on the sleeve. if one cut isnt enough make 2, add a little WD40, and it should fall right out. note that all those instructions are based on the assumptions i make above
