Lift help needed!

Lift help needed!
I have some questions and I did a search and found no answers to what I was looking for. I am buying a Superlift 4" suspension lift, and I know it isn't the greatest thing since sliced bread, but I am mainly doing it for looks and bigger tires. Blus I would rather not see in between my frame and body so a body lift is out. Any way. I was quoted $2800 for it installed. I thought this was a little rediciulous but I see online it cost $1400 plus a $700 drive shaft. So my question for you is. is it worth $700 to do it yourself. I am a decent shade tree mechanic, but this seems like a lot of work, not to mention I would still have to pay for an alignment and to have my Speedo fixed. Also what have some of you guys paid for the same thing.
P.S. The company locally that does them won't sell me the kit uninstalled!
Thanks and have a great day!

Installing the kit is quite easy if you are even the slightest bit knowledgable about the suspension of your truck. I did it over 2 afternoons with simple hand tools all by myself. In the time it took me to install it vs. the money i saved, I was essentially paying myself like $60 an hour.
And $700 for the driveshaft is f***ing nuts! I wouldn't pay more than $375! You could get a custom one made for that kinda price.
And if you've got 4.10s and a 4.0L, you won't need to regear. I could easily spin my 33s even before the bamachips program.

$700 is rediculas for a drive shaft, i am having one custom built for my truck and its onlly gonna cost about $399, but u should definitly get one cause the stock one wont last long i have only had the lift on the truck for about 5,000 miles and mine sounds like its about to fall out now, lol.

Nick who owns that site is a member here. pm him, maybe he can cut some kind of deal. idk
i was thinking the driveshaft should only be around 400.
