Spindles+AAL+BL install

I have a 99' Mazda B-3000 2wd and am planning on putting a 3" spindle on front and AAL on the back and BL to top it off. I was wondering about how difficult it would be to install the spindles and AAL myself? I have thought about putting a BL on myself but am unsure about that one because of breakline extensions, ect. If anyone could let me know about this stuff that would be great. Also I will be needing new rear gears, I guess 4.10 and was wondering about how much it would cost to do that and where I could get this done.

You can do it all yourself. The line extensions are easy, it all just takes some patience. If you are gonna run 33's, 4.10's will be ideal.

the BL is a LOT if work but it can be done if you have the right tools and a few strong friends to help out

BL is simple its damn simple we have it down to 6 hours over here in mich. bring it over for a fee we will do it haha


btw word of a wise the AAL WILL NOT raise the rear end high enough to meet the truck scrap the AAL idea and run deaver rear springs do it right...

If you are even the slightest bit handy with a wrench, you ought to be just fine.

As for gears, you can swap in an explorer rear axle or a ranger 8.8" axle with 4.10 gears and possibly even a l/s very easily. It's a bolt-in procedure! There is a How-To floating around here somewhere regarding an explorer rear axle swap.

well, to lift a truck or even run it stock height, the explorer axle is alot more work. So look for an ranger axle for a quick swap.



i installed a 3inch suspension lift in my old apartment's parking lot by myself, it just took awhile

From what I hear, a body lift can be a handful. When a friend of mine, my dad, and I did my spindles, it took a Saturday afternoon. Over Thanksgiving we'll be doing new upper control arms, 2 more inches in the front (via springs), and a 1.5" add-a-leaf. We assume that will take a couple afternoons.

body lifts are not a handfull heres some tips and DO THIS. the WHOLE week before EVERY day spray all the bolts with penatrating oil like BB blaster or something of the kind. the night before you want to start take off the bumpers it saves time. and then make sure you read through the instructions a few times before the big day...

body lift is a 1 day project. ive done three of them this summer its not that hard.. just time consuming

well, i plan to do a 5.5 inch suspension and some 33s


but.... i might do the 3inch spindle and 3 inch body with 33s

anyway, I can't say much about the spindles but as said by redneckstone a body lift is easy. I think my AAL was worth it for as cheap as they are you can't go wrong. I was told deavers are soft and not really for towing but an AAL will make your truck even better for towing and give you less sag.

sigh more schooling. Deavers are Soft BUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT you can tell Deaver you need to tow and they CAN install a towing leaf to the pack remeber they make custom packs here all you have to do is ask...

What kind of driveshaft issues would you run into with 5.5" of suspension and 3" of body? Brake lines?
