Spindle lift for 02 Edge question(s)

I did a search on this but didnt come up with an answer really.

I have an 02 edge and want to lift it. I found one spindle lift that was about 700 that came with 4 new shocks which i dont need.

WDoes anyone have any info on what companies make spindles for edges? ( and dont make you buy all kinds of sh** w/ it? My old truck was a ttb, im new to this edge deal.

any and all input is appreciated.

If you do the spindles in the front I am pretty sure you need new shocks because your stock ones are not long enough..? Thats what I was told anyways, I just ordered the lift for my 03 edge, the spindles, aal, and 4 new shocks... Do it right if you do it.

you don't need longer shocks for the front but you do for the rear... and Fabtech makes good quality spindles unless you plan on going crazy with a camburg kit (best but more $$$)

From everything I’ve found there are only three choices for the Edge these days. In the midline is Fabtech and Doetsch. On the premium side there’s Camburg.
Procomp used to offer a set but from what I’ve heard they have discontinued their line for the Edge.

The Fabtech and Doetsch spindles can be purchased separately, but you need to ensure your wheels have no more than 3.75 inches of back spacing for the Fabtech spindles whereas the Doetsch spindles will work with stock wheels. Both will require some grinding on the lower control arms and a little more for the Doetsch to fine tune the steering stops.

Here’s some links:

Fabtech

Suspensionmax price for the spindles Part# 703230 Front 3" Lift Spindle for 99-05 Edge $326.95 (which are the Doetsch spindles) 4WheelParts has them for about $375.00. The Fabtech spindles will run about the same maybe a little more.

Suspensionmax

Truckaddons shows they still stock the Procomp Spindle kits with AAL and shocks but I would call first to see if they can still get them. their price for the kit is $840.95

Truckaddons

Camburg sells a nice setup but is rather pricey. They start at $1550 for the parts and go up from there.

Camburg

Doetsch

.

i would do Fabtech spindles, not Doestch or Pro Comp
just spindles in the front and you can buy them individually (look for another thread in this section entitled WTB:spindles)

for the back get AALs and Chevy lowering shackles or RCD shackles

if you want a lil more you can crank the tbars an do a 3 or 4" block

i have an 02 edge with spindles from fabtech and aal. i LOVE it. wasnt more then 700-800. i WOULD recommend blocks w/ aal, because my front end is ALOT higher then the back. i like the look on a truck that sits even all the way back. plus the headlights were WAY off after the lift. cars would flash their brights on me all the time when i didnt have my high beams on.

I had a order in, and called around, the fabtech lift kit, or spindles, is on backorder for 1.5 -2 months right now... 4wheelparts said they are at the mercy of fabtech, whenever they decide to start making them again, then thats when they will be available..
