Different Torsion Bars?
Eventually sometime soon I want to upgrade my tires to a 285/75/16, and I read that I may need a crank, which is not a problem. I also read that the stock t-bars aren't the best to be cranked on?
How would class 1 or B torsion bars help more than my stock torsion bars? And where would I get them? To be honest, I'm not sure what bars I have if it differs because my truck is a 4x4 offroad? I've got the money, so it doesn't matter how much it costs. Also, does anyone have a picture of where exactly you crank the bars? The diagram on TRS isn't quite clear to me.

How do you know which bars you have to begin with?

There is a code on the sticker in your door jamb. It says 'spr' it should have a 2 or 3 digit code.
If you need the VIN to order the T-bars, here is a VIN for #1 T-bars, VIN: 1FTZR15E91TA84102

"FK" means that you have F rate torsion bars and K rate leaf springs.
F torsion bars have a lower spring rate than 1 or B bars.
You don't need a VIN to order the #1 bars if you have the Ford part numbers:
F67Z-5B326-FB Driver side
F67Z-5B326-FA Pass side
Currently about $75 each list at a Ford dealer, $50~55 each online plus shipping.

Thread resurrection! My truck already has class one bars according the door sticker. And in my opinion it is sagging and sometimes the tires knick the fender well somewhere when four wheeling. Should I get some new class ones and install them, or crank the ones that are already on there?

apply a bit of heat to the bolts if they've never been touched. It will reduce the chance of snapping it because I think they have locktite on them.
