Spindle's

I was wondering how long it took to install some 2WD Spindles and blocks? A local shop sayed they would do it for me and they charge 70$ an Hour. How much am i going to pay for the install?

i say do it yourself man for that price

I think most ppl spend 6-10 hours doing the install them selves. I would do it yourself. However if you do have to pay that much for it convince them to not charge you for the alignment since thats part of the install. I would do it yourself. I think the only real speacilty tool is a ball joint press which you can borrow from most autopart stores for a returnable deposit.

if you have the tools to do it yourself, there's nothing to it...

your best bet is:

find some members close by.

buy alot of pizza/beer/soda

and they will prolly not mind helping you out...

i know that i work for food/drink..

So you're saying anyone can do it with the right tools?

Trevelyn1015 09-10-2005 08:18 PM

not anyone...

you have to know what you are doing...

It's easy, learn how to do it yourself and do it. Shops rip you off with the cost of installs.

I can install spindles or anything up to a new lift with upper arms in under 3 hours, more difficult installs take me longer. Practice makes perfect. I've lifted 6 trucks now and it just gets easier each time.

Gotcha covered, .

Yeah it's not difficult at all. Most manufacturers have the instructions posted on their websites. I know when I did my superlift i downloaded the instructions and perused them a few times before i even went to order the lift kit!
