Started my bodt lift
Started my body lift
Well I had some free time today so I replaced my rear shocks and I thought while I was under there I would lift my bed. Well I just finished and looks good and a lot easier than I thought. Worst part was lining up the new bolts with the clips in the frame. Boy the bed is light. Who needs a jack?
I will try to get some pics up tomorrow. I don't like the way it looks without the cab done yet but maybe I will get it done tomorrow. BTW my truck's frame looks like it sat in the ocean for years but with a can of PB Blaster all the bolts came out without breaking!!!!! Hopefully the cab bolts will come out the same way!
Thanks for everyone's help and this site as a reference guide.

sounds good you got the easy part done the cab is def a PITA
the four cab bolts will come out no prob with heat and the front core supports may have to be cut out mine were rusted to ****
REMEMBER TO USE HEAT!!!!! i forgot on the first bolt and broke it

I did not have much of a problem with my bolts at all then I looked that you were using hand tools that would suck. Just heat em up pretty good and you willl be fine.
Well today after work I started the cab portion of my BL. As many of you said it is the hardest part of the lift!!! I applied heat to the cab bolts and they broke free quite nicely, all came out with little effort. Now the core support was a different story. I broke both bolts. Not sure what that means for me. Do I need to find a piece of 1/2 metal tube to insert into the body bushings or can I just use the bolt? Second problem I had was I can't get the old bushings out. Any pointers? Third problem in my jack sucks and started leaking.
So the truck won tonight. Round three tomorrow. Again thanks for all the input you guys give me.
