stock shock mount strength

are the stock shock mounts pretty strong? im gonna be doing some mild prerunning (no jumping or anything) and i was wondering about this. Im more worried about the fronts than the rears. thanks

I have broken the rear pass. side shock mount that attaches to the frame. I have a aal pack and fabtech shocks so maybe that did it but only one side broke. It broke at the part where the shock attaches to the mount. It was a ***** to switch out becasue I had to go to the junk yard and cut out one and remount it. I think it broke when I was just driving one day.

I would be more worried about the spindles cause I seen people break those more than shock mounts when going over rough terrain fast.

are you talking upper or lower mounts on the front?

the coil overs on the RCD kit are basically bolted to the same place with a little reinforcement, it should be fine

I just got back from the shop, I was trying to see where my brakes were leaking and I found out that my shock mount broke off on the drivers side exactly where Egor29's mount broke. If they are rusty at all replace them, just my suggestion.

It broke at the bolt that is attached to the upper shock mount. Just riding on the springs made it a nice soft ride but whenever you hit a bump, your ass end would feel like it was kicking to the side.
