Stainless Steel Brake Lines

I don't know if they'll still do it, but years ago when there was no kit available for my car I called the "Russell Co".
They manufactured stainless steel brake lines. I gave them the information they asked for and they custom
made a set of lines for me. As I recall it wasn't much more expensive than 1 of their kits.
Russell was purchased by Edelbrock in 2001. Why don't you call or Email them and see if they still provide that service?

Yes, my truck is relatively new, I have had it for 8 months and it has 9000 miles on it. One of the fittings has come loose on the drives side front brake. The rubber hose is loose in the crimp on the fitting and is leaking brake fluid. I took it to a Dealer and get this "we could see that you are leaking brake fluid, but can not find out from where. If this continues bring it back in". WOW is all I have to say, so I am putting on some hawk HPS pads soon and was just going to do it right with the SS brake lines at the same time.

DOT apprived is ****. it doesnt mean they are any safer, just that they have a one in a million chance of being inspected. Ive seen lengths anywhere for 6 to 24 inches for around 20 bucks a line..

not true. DOT lines have a silicon/plastic all the way around the line, keeps it from fraying and protects the line.

I used www.classictube.com when I upgraded to SN95 front brakes on my 89 XR4Ti. They did a great job, I couldn't be more pleased.
