Suggestions on lift kits for 2wd Rangers?
 

Still a noobie to this site, sorry if I posted in the wront section...

I have a 93 Ranger 2wd V6 3.0 that I want to get up in the air a little bit. I hate being down low at the stock height my Ranger is at. Someone installed a "leveling kit" so the front end is not lower than the rear end like most stock Rangers.

Im not looking to go crazy, just enough to roll 31" - 33" meats. Anyone done this yet? What are your opinions on lifting a 2wd (Im expecting someone to flame me to get a 4x4 Ranger then lift it haha). I just like the look of lifted Rangers... If it were a 4x4, then YEAH I'd go nuts with it.

there are a number of ways .
i think just a body lift would look alittle goofy , but thats depends on what size tire you want . i think you can get 31'' under with out rubbin https://www.ranger-forums.com/f38/ch...re-size-20047/
as far as leveling just throw coil spacers under there and you will be all set , .with lifting a 2wd , i dont see thing wrong with it for a little height and not hard core offroading ,and if you go up to a 33'' you would have to re gear..well not have to but it will help , i have a 3.0 2wd myself and im planing on 33'' tires 3' spindles and 2' blocks and lift shackles

Never liked the looks of body lifts, heck my old 94 explorer that was a wheeler rolled on 35"s (I can put 39s under there no problem without rubbing) and had 4 inches of body lifts, NO WAY JOSE.... Looking to do a real lift

i would do spindles and blocks

Here's a pic of my old explorer. sold it, guy rolled it on the first day of owning it... He tried to take a corner too sharply and ended up on the roof *slaps forehead*

well if you wanna lift the front and rear a cheeper way than spindles, would be coilspacers and blocks

well did you do everything on your explorer yourself? its pretty simple to do a lift. especially coil spacers and blocks. just a few bolts lol

explorer had a 9" rear end spring over set up with longer bas**rd pack, front end was a kit my buddy made up so I only did the work on the rear end, not the front (I had to work while he did the front end).

spindles would be easier to be honest but more expensive. you usually need a coil compressor to do the spacers(at least to make it easy on yourself lol)

spindle lift is the cheapest and i'd say probably most common if u just want a lift. i dont hve any lifts or anything i just went to fiberwerx down here and bought some glass for the front and i bought new bfg 32x11.5x15 and they fit beautifully. but since i've no lift i have to pull my bedsides or buy glass for that or just go spend the money to buy some *****in coil overs and bypass for every corner! but up to u
