Suggestions for suspension help

I just bought this 2002 2.3 ranger. the suspension is terrible or the leaf springs are out completely... what would you guys suggest checking first and can you give me direction on the easiest way to tell what I need to replace or do first??

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks

What are the symptoms? "Suspension is terrible" isn't very descriptive. Lol.

Bounce on the back of the truck then jump off, if it does not bounce after you jump off your springs and shock absorbers are good in the back

Check if the shackle on the rear of the leaf and its associated bolts are too tight. They can be over-tightened and "lock" the leaf spring.
