Icon3 RCD pics

So I'm lookin to lift my front end a lil. I want the damn thing level and right now my LCA's sit almost level, where there should be angled a lil at least! UGH!

I'm thinkin about runnin the 14in coils and replace the 12in RCD's that came with it... For all that are runnin the RCD kit, how did you get your truck level without sacrificing height in the rear? If you're wondering too, my adjusters are almost all the way turned down (at the base of the coil over) so there isn't more I can do!

Can I see your pics and what you did to get it level? Thanks guys!

That's nice lookin! Did you do the coils yourself? I just gotta find a compressor that'll fit around the coil like that and keep it compressed while I adjust it and install it lol...

Also, are those 33's or 35's?

35s

i did it my self, took me like 7 hours lol
but that included finding a damn compressor like you said that would work.. i went through like 5.. then found one for sale at Advance Auto that works so so... i tried to bend the tabs in and stuff but i broke the vice haha

its a giant pain in the *** but if you have a day or weekend to kill.. go for it! oh and i would recommend air and a good impact. spray some penetrating lube on it before hand...

and i compressed the coil while the whole assembly was still attached to the truck, that way i could start the nut back off instead of trying to hold it on the ground and twist and all that good stuff

Yah... I like the way your truck sits a lot! lol

I'll have to try and find a good compressor that'll work with it though... That's probably gonna be the hardest part... I can get the coils for about $105 from a place down the street from me and I'll hopefully be able to use my buddys shop... Air tools, heat, hydraulic lift lol...

yea that was in my friends home/shop while were at school
him and 3 other people live in the office/on a couch above the offices lol... i think that was when they had the gas turned on.. at the beginning we all huddled around that wood incinerator thing to keep warm ha

the lift would have been nice too.

So you did nothing different than just put the 750lb coils in? Meaning you kept the shackle and AAL in the rear and left the factory block in?

Matt, are those 12 or 14 inch coils. I know after compressing my 12 inch hypercoils I'm having a gumby moment and going "no way someone could fit 14s on here!"

Oh, and I don't have my coils cranked all the way down, running 700lbs coils and I sit 1.5 inches lower in the front than the rear. I attribute the rear due to the deavers though.

I would love the Deaver pack... but I'll save that money for my Allpro leafs in the rear and front when I do my SAS next summer. lol...

I know at least one guy on RPS used the 14in coils and was able to get it back to level... I think I'll just go with the 750lb coils maybe even the 800lb ones and just crank up the adjuster til I get it level lol... If not higher in the front!

hahaha dont do 800.. 750 is PLENTY stiff..

and they are 12" ones, it looks like 14" ones would fit, but like Chris said, after compressing them i dont see a 14" spring going on very easy... the 12s sit just fine.

as for SAS'ng
nice choice on All Pros, here's my buddies Yoda on 5" All pro front and 6" rear... i'm just going to do all pro in the front and a block out back to level it out until i get home.. or get the money to get the front drive line setup before i go home...

Thanks for the input man, Glad to know someone has the 800s and doesn't like them!

Zach, Where did he get his coils? The biggest 14in coil (rating) I found were the hyper coils and I think they only went to 400. I'll gladly get the 14in 650lb coils if I can find them and they're the same price as a set of the 12in Hypercoils! Thanks for the pic btw, I always love seeing your guys' trucks! haha

Hopefully he'll get on this thread and give him input on it! Where he got em, and how hard those springs were to compress to install... I would love to get some LCA angle like he has! I don't care what it's gonna take, as long as I get my front end level with the rear!
