Suspension on a 1991 ranger
I am trying to lift my 1991 ranger 2WD to fit some new tires and make into a prerummer to be different. Im trying to do this cheaply. i have 30inch Mud Tracs that i want to fit and bigger if need be. What will i need to accomplish this? Any advice would be helpful. thanx

ok so i see that many people on this site have a body lift. i looked online and found the one from performance accessories. Its like 100 dollars. I have a manual tranny and im guessing i will be needing the shift extender. Also i noticed the kit does not come with bumper brackets. does that mean that the bumpers will be 3 inches lower than my body? If so what can i do?

Anyone know?

yes the older kits do not move the bumpers up. use lift coils or blocks and 30's should fit...

then again you can go with the body lift and have to make custom bumper brackets to move the bumper up.... |
yea i was looking for those drop brackets and couldnt find them any where. how difficult would the brackets be?
|
they are alot of grinding, cusing, more grinding, more cusing, then some punching out of rivits....

ok so i think i am going to go with 2" coil lift and a 1.5"? block to be level and then the BL. ill have to fab some bumper brackets. What tires could i get to fit with minimal rubbing. Sound good?

if your gonna spend that sorta time and money why not just do it right the first time, get a rough country 4 inch complete kit for 450 bucks.

no get the skyjacker stage 2 lift they have the extended radius arms and give plenty of travel.
