Monroe sense a trac shocks

I finally broke down and spent $50 on rear shocks for my truck, I got tired of the rear end squatting under torque. I just got the cheapy Monroe gas charged shocks, but I'm contemplating installing the nicer (?) sense a tracs up front. Has anybody run these? Any thoughts? I'm kinda stuck to what napa, Kragens and Autozone carries. Or rock auto.
I'm not out to spend a whole bunch of money, but I'd like a better ride than blown shocks, especially with all the mountain driving I do.

most of the time its up and down on people liking the sensatracs. Acourse this happens alot with shocks in general, tons will like it, others hate it and this can be said for all the brands.

For instance im really not satisfied with my bilsteins, ESPECIALLY for the price, but for the most part many like them alot but not me, but the roads around me really change and suck so its hard for me to just choose a shock and it do everything I need it to good.

But for me id say that most like them but the complaints can be that they are kinda rough. But I know toreador4x4 has them and he loves them. Hes tried many different shocks, has been on here a long while, and is a ford tech so I tend to value his opinion. They are priced pretty good, my work sells them and likes them alot, and for the money id run em. Especially if comparing them to other low price shocks. I say this being compared to $300+ bilsteins.

Shocks don't set your ride height...your leaf springs in the rear set the ride height. Any shocks are better then wornout old ones.

I had them on my truck and they were great! I like them way more in the winter with a load in the bed but they were good during summer too.

Ok thanks for feedback guys, o figured while the bed was off to do the fuel pump, I might as well put shocks on the rear, but now I just need to front to ride as good. So I think I'll spend the $86 and put the SAT's in the front.
Even though I put the cheapies in the rear, the back of the truck doesnt squat hard, axle hop, or float anymore it's awesome, this is the first time I've ever put brand new shocks on my daily driver lol.

On another ride note, do any of you guys have an axlewrap problem?

I went with the cheap Monroes which were $15 a shock... Now I know why they were $15. I installed the Sense a Tracs on my wife's Jeep Liberty, and they ride really well. If I ever get to changing my shocks out again, I am going to spend the extra money and get the Sense a Tracs.

i dont understand how my 2.5 that puts 78 hp to the pavement can wrap the springs so hard, while i had the bed off, i was looking back, 1st and 2nd were just twisting the crap outta em.
i think i might try to build a torque arm, like the ls1 camaros have, or something like the pulling arms i had on a dodge i sled pulled with, hopefully i can build something outta what i have sitting around the garage...

Its not necessarily the fact that you make so much power, its just the design and action of it. Your best bet is to just buy the james duff traction bars. They are only $100 for a good strong product and will work very well. Thats a winner in my book.

I just installed a set of 4 Sensatracks this weekend. I bought them from Napa. (Monroe shocks with a NAPA sticker on the box) I never thought $45 dollar shocks would perform as good as they do.
I'm really impressed, it handles like a brand new truck now!
They give a much nicer ride because they have softer valving in the middle to soak up all the little bumps. But as soon as you push it in a turn they stiffen right up. A lot sportier than I thought.
