upgrading Edge suspension
Hey guys
I want to get your guys input on my situation. I drive a 2005 Ranger Edge 2wd extd cab 4.0.
I'm looking to beef up the suspension while not trying to raise the truck. I'm running BFG 30"x9.5" on my 15" wheels and I like the tire size for my needs. Its my daily driver and it sees dirt several times a year and want to beef up the suspension. I was thinking about replacing the leaf springs with deaver f31 but wasn't sure if that'll raise my rear end to much. The edge has blocks that the current leaf pack is sitting on. I'm wondering if I swap the leaf pack and remove the blocks and flip the shackles, it would give me similar rear height.
Also, do the bilstein 5100 fit the stock edge? if not then I'm open to suggestions to replace my OEM shocks with heavier ones.
Does anyone make tubular arms for the front arms without changing the whole front end suspension components. All I see are long travel systems for tubular arms and I dont want to go that route.
I know what my situation sounds like... like a fab-tech setup but I'd like to think I could do better than that. Please chime in and I'd like to hear your suggestions.
