spindle and blocks, or body lift?

Ok i own a 98 ranger, basically all stock suspension, i want to add a spindle lift later on, but i am kinda confused. I am plenty aware that when you lift you have to extend things, lines and hoses and what not but i just need to know, for a first time lift should i go with a spindle lift and blocks or a body lift? any gooder ideas are of corse welcome.
