Taking off stock spindles.

i have the truck on the lift at school and all i need to take off is the bottom joint from the spindle. I have no idea how to take it off and Alldata and Michell wont tell me so do i just use the ball joint fork and a hammer or is there a safer way?

did you put the fork inbetween the arm and the spindle hitting the fork up forcing the spindle down?

Yeah, we had jacked up the truck on the a-arm so we would not have to use a coil compressor and had some jack stands under the frame just incase.. Remove the cotter pin and unbolt it then pop it! Your probably going to need to buy new ball joints cause the fork rips the rubber thing, same with the tie rod ends.. and forgot how we got the top of the spindle..

are you doing this by yourself or do you have a friend or two helping out?

While I was hitting it I had my friend pushing the spindle down with his body weight cause the upper arm does not have much room to flex for some reason..

pickle forks SUCK SUCK SUCK SUCK SUCK!
there should be an area on the side of the spindle that looks machined flat like a rectangle area... beat the **** out of taht area and it should pop the lower balljoing loose
