time for some upkeep
planing to do some upkeep on the trac this Sunday, my upper ball-joint and lower ball-joint technically don't pass for a MSI. While I'm at it, I'm putting in a new hub assembly as well, All on the driver side. The hub assembly MIGHT even fix my abs light. I did a code scan at work and it couldn't read the Driver side speed sensor. I don't know if it just defaults to the first sensor or not, so I'm trying that first before I just pull the bulb
I have a MOOG lower, OneSource Upper Arm and Timken hub assemby. All for the low price of 65 bucks Helps the lower bj is under a lifetime warrenty.
Oh and I picked up a used CV axle, Im going to hit up Napa for the reboot kits and give it a try. Can't beat the price for an offroad spare. Worst case, If they are truely junk, i will strip them down for some emergency nubs
CV axle---FREE
Boot kits---17bucks each
I barely fit in my parents garage
my parts--Upper control arm, lower balljoint and a hub
before
after
Comparison of the Onesource control arm and factory

i had it stripped and new balljoints installed within an hour
I then had to run to work and get the hub removed from the spinlde (had to use a torch to heat the bolts) and it took another hour to rap things up
