Icon7 Tire size and BL?

Hi guys,
New to the forum and relatively new to Rangers. I just picked up an 07 2.3, 5speed 2WD about a month ago. I got it for the gas mileage and also becouse I needed something to haul small stuff. Basically the bare bones model, except CD, rear sliding, privacy glass, alloy wheels, buckets. so far I relly like this truck. The ride is very nice. Not at all like the "reviews" say. Not to mention 30-32 mpg hwy! For a truck with 3.73 gears, I think thats amazing!
I am thinking about a bigger tire or body lift though. A couple questions.

1. Whats the biggest tire I can put on without lift? Without it looking disproportionate.

2. If I go with a BL, or something similar, any recomendations? 1.5, 2, 3"? full suspension?

3. biggest tire for your recomendation

I have 225/70/15 on now. Also, how much loss of power or mpg's expected without gear change? I put a 4" suspension lift on my automatic trans. Jeep wrangler without gear change and lost alot of power in the higher gears, so now I drive it with overdrive off

I know, long post. lots of questions. But if Im going to do this, I want to start reseearch now. Thanks alot.

Ive been reading up a little and found out some info.
If I just crank the t-bar, can I fit about a 32" tire or will i still need a BL?
I heard that the lift "keys" are nothing but trouble. True?
Help me out a little guys. Thanks.

You don't have torsion bars. You have coils since you have a XL model. Only XLT 4wds, Edge/Sport and FX4 models have torsion bars.

Hahahaha. See, shows what I know. Ok, well that eliminates one option.
Im leaning towards the 3" BL with 32 BFG AT's.
Any suggestions and pics...

I say get a suspension lift over a body lift. I'm not a big fan of body lifts and since you are a 2wd they don't cost that much. I'm not sure what tires you can fit with the lift.
