torsion bar flip?

i was reading another thread and just thought of something.

if my torsion bars sag, could i just flip them so they are upside down? thus resulting in re-arched t-bars?

would i have to rotate sides as well?

this is just thinking hypothetically and i don't need to replace my bars (i would hope...)

I don't think so, they are torsional, the metal doesn't know which way it is twisted.

right, i thought there was just one movement (up and down) not a twisting motion.

No. If you do that, they will be weaker. Same concept as if you bend metal back and forth. it will stretch the metal molecules apart and possibly break. Not the one you want while driving down the road.
