ok im a 98 3.0 2wd ranger, i would like to know if i got this lift what would be the biggest tire size i could get, i would offroad everyone once in a while but nothin extreme, thanks, oh and gears that would match the tire size

 

i dunno if RCD makes a lift for 2wd..

i know they got that 5.5" aka 6" lift but thats just for 4wds

This kit will provide sufficient lift to clear a 32" diameter tire. Some customers are running 285/75/16 tires that are the equivalent of a short 33" diameter tire that's about 11.5" inches wide. no lift, and that sounds good to me, you think with a 3in BL and the rcd 6in i could get 35s on there

there are 2wds running 3" Spindle and 3" body and 35s.. thats 6"
im thinking if you do the 6" suspension, and 3" body you will have one of the biggest IFS trucks on here, and you can probably clear a much bigger tire than a 35... but who knows, do you have an 8.8 or 7.5?

their recommendation is for function..

the 5" for 4wds they say 33x1250, when you could go bigger, but not if your going to be using the kit.. i think. haha

 

Dude don't spen 1500 on a an AAL and Spindles and Coils and shocks

i've got a 2wd edge w/ 3.5 lift, after torsion keys/rear blocks i wanna try and squeeze 37". i've looked, but mainly only see 35" w/out a SAS. matt, if you beat me too it, lemme kno if it was worth it.

i beleive the saying goes..."GO BIG, or GO HOME!" right?

you are messing up 2 different 2wd trucks. His 98 2wd is coil sprung, so it sits about 2inch lower then a 2wd edge. I had a 5.5inch lift on my 2wd non edge ranger and it only cleared 33's safely. Once i went to a 9inch lift i could run 35-37s.

when i had a 5.5inch lift, i was at the same height as Rocky with his 4x4 and 3inch bodylift

 

just get tires big enough to cover up where the fender use to be?

scotts right... their COMPLETELY different! whether or not you have stepside makes a difference too!!! the wheels wells on my edge are cut out wider then your stright bed on an xlt.

 

ok so if i get this kit will i need new upper control arms?
