hi i was wondering if anyone could tell me how to get my torsion bars out to put new torsion keys on them? i have the torsion keys all loosened and evrything but i just cant seem to get the torsion bars out to put the new keys on. thanks

 

If you already have the bolts out, and you want to get the bars out of the control arms, I used heat. I used a TON of PB for about two days, then hit it with the rosebud tip on my oxyacetylene. Careful not to overheat the tbars themselves, but it popped right off the control arm and the key after heating it. Nothing else worked, but mine was an 01 with about 8 yrs of salt and rust form living in PA and upstate NY.
