Vibrations/shaking

Im haveing a very rough vibration/shaking just wonder what i should be looking for its pretty bad when the radio skips becuase of it i cant tell if its the front end or the trans hope its not the trans but can someone point me in the right direction in what/where to look and check to narrow it down it getts really bad at around 50-55 i can feel it at lower speeds but its not as bad

Tires. First place to start checking. Look for thrown wheel weights. Might even get them rebalanced.

Yup, check your wheel bearings too. just jack the front up, grab the tire on the front and back side and try to shake it back and forth (like when you turn) and see if there is any play.

well found the problem wast even in the front-end Failed U-Joint =/ too bad i had to find out the hard way

so my dad says if i just replace the u-joints it will just happen again he said it happened becuase of lowering my truck says i should get it shortend and rebalanced anyone else have this problem??

I'm not sure how you could shorten the drive shaft? When you dropped the truck, did you correct the pinion angle? Just because the truck is lowered will not cause the u-joints to fail.

i had a shop put my drop kit on i didnt have the tools or space to do it myself at the time so i have no idea if they did or not how would i check it?
and there are drivshaft shop around that shorten driveshafts and repalance em too but i knda dont want go and do that

I'm just not sure how you can shorten the driveshaft and still have it fit? I can't imagine its much shorter from the lowering.

You can check your pinion angle with a magnetic angle finder. There are instructions on the net. Its like on alot of lift blocks they have a slight angle to them, they aren't square, in order to pivot the axle enough to correct the pinion angle. If the angle is out of spec it causes vibrations which can cause your u-joints to go bad. This can be corrected with a pinion shim of the proper degree needed.
