RCD lift and the exhaust

Hi,

I got the RCD lift for my truck and brought it to a shop to have it installed (because I dont really have the skills + it would have needed to go their anyway).

The guy there said that the exaust may have to be re-routed being that the front driveshaft is lowered or something like that.

Is this true? Did any you guys have a problem like that?

Thanks,
Jarret

no.... only part of the exhaust that gets modded is the tail pipe.... the shackles get in the way so you need to cut the tip off.... nothing big.... as for the front driveshaft nothing with the exhaust will be in the way

Edit:

also you have a 2003.... your rotors may be to large for the rcd kit... the rcd kit is made for up to 2002. in 2003 the rotors were uped to 12.0 inch rotors, 2002 and older the rotors were 11.25 inch. make sure you have 11.25 inch rotors or you will not be able to finish the install untill you do...

Talk to Jared (Mudhippy) as well, he has the same kit on his truck.

I'm not sure if you're truck has PVH, pulse vacuum hubs, but I know the kit won't work on trucks equipped with them, so you should check that out as well as what Jared (RangeryBoy03lvl2) said about your rotors.

I bought new rotors....

rear axle... you have to order diff ubolts with the kit .... i put them up to my stock ubolts and they were the same length.... only diff was the thread was fine on the new ones vs the stock ones are a rough thread...

easy install took me 8 hours to do... piece of cake...

also my exhaust is dumped too.... much easier way to go...:D
