Moving the Tow Hooks...

Alright....I am getting closer to picking up a BL, and I am looking for a solution for keeping my tow hooks....I do not want to cut into my valance....I was wondering if anyone on here has custom made some brackets, to relocate them? Or if anyone would be interested in fabbing a set up...

Thanks for the info!!

The only thing about making brackets is they are not going to be as strong as where they are at now.... just something to think about ...

where the loops are mounted now is the strongest point because that point is made for them. moving them may lead to pulling problems down the road. im sure someone on here has a pre-runner bumper and kept their valence. give them holler and cut that valence up. itd be the safest route to take.

so do a good job of it and make it unique. if youre just going for the look then itd be alright but its a lot of trouble trying to move hooks and make them fully functional safely.

I dont offroad much and at the end of the day with any lift it's still just a ranger......I would not spend 1200 just to keep my tow hooks.....

Thanks for the input guys! Sounds Like I need to either ditch them, or cut into the valance....

I've got some tow hooks mounted to the bumper brackets via 1/8" steel. It's not the best way to go about it, but I've used them about 20 times with no problems. You can see what they look like in my offroading thread in snapshots..
