Trying to lift 2000 ranger v4 2.3L

Want to get about a 3”-5” lift on my 2000 v4 2.3, what would be the best hight to go without problems, also what’s the max i could go on wheels, i want big all terrain looking tires to make the truck look a little tougher. ideas or tips ? thanks
(it’s stick shift)

i wouldn't go any bigger than 31's on your 3.73 gearing, any bigger than that and you're putting a lot of wear on the clutch, transmission, differential, and it'd feel like you're losing 1/2 of the power. my dad has been running a 3" lift for as long as he's had his truck, it has 320k miles so i think you'd be good with a 3". if you want bigger tires than 31's (even those are pushing it for 3.73) upgrade to a 4.10 gear ratio.

Good Luck :)
