Flip kit necessary with a 4/5 drop?

I got a DJM 4/5 drop from a guy on this forum, but when shipped, the box was tore and some parts are missing. My question: Is a rear flip kit necessarily needed or can I just flip the rear axle? If not, then please post the link you may have used to flip the axle.

Thanks-Tom

itd prolly be cheaper to buy a flip kit then cutting your perches off, buying new ones, and welding them on bottom of the axle

if you want the 5" than yes you need the flip kit. If you flip your Rear shackles you'll only get 2"
