what the hell?

hey, was wondering if you all could answer a few questions i have on my 2006 ranger 4x4. first off, has anyone who purchased a new ranger had problems with poor mfg. from the day i bought the truck there has been one structural problem after another. 1st the drivers door was off and the door catch needed to be replaced. 2nd the bumper was not mounted straight, now i have rescently discovered that the rear suspension of the truck is off by 1/2" ! my front measeure 34 1/2" R-L but my rear measures 37L and 37 1/2" R!
of course im taking it back to the dealer to have this corrected, but come on! the truck is only 1yr old and has only 3200 miles on it!

also is there a way to level the truck, id like to raise the front susp but there is no way ill get 3" out of the torsion bars.

thanks for leting me vent. any help is appreicated.

The latch problem seems to be an issue for some. As far as suspension, that is normal, I assume that by left side, you mean drivers, remember that your gas tank is over there, so 1/2" could be the difference between an empty tank and a full one.....

dont i feel silly

well who knew, i guess the mfg alotted for the sag of a full gas tank. my gas tank was only 1/4 full and i measured 37 1/2" from ground to fender. now with it full it measures 37 1/8" only an 1/8" off from the other side. guess that solves my problem. just keep the tank full.

readin your first post, i was gonna ask how much gas was in the tank when you measured it.....

FWIW, neither the door latch nor the bumper misalignment are "structural" problems.

your worried about an 1/2 inch... if thats the least of your problems, your waaay ahead of most ranger owners. don't fret over the little things.(unless it keeps the truck from running or working properly) like posted earlier, it's a truck, not a bentley.

No problems with my 06. My friend just had his first problem with his 04 though. Something with his brakes. He's lifted though, so I don't know how that affects his truck.

LOL, you bought a PT Cruiser becuase you had a mis aligned bumper and had the typical ranger lean (that every ranger ever made has)????

You really traded up on that one

No, dip****, there were many other issues, but those were the least of my concerns with the Ford POSs, we had.

And yes, I did trade up.

Awwe, resorting to name calling already. Man your skin is thin. B!tch.

And yes thats what you are, there was nothing cruel intended by what I said, if you took it that way you need to read both sides of a post. The LOL was an attempt at dry humor. You obviously can't grasp that.

I love idiot n00bs such as yourself, getting under your skin is fun, though thats not what I intentionally meant to do. Care to continue on with your attitude?
