Best shock for my truck...

I know there are alot of shock threads out there but I am going to make a new one.

Just got some tax money back so I am going to buy new shocks. I am sick of feeling every little bump in the road and bouncing all over the place.

I have 295 Nitto Terra Grappler tires and a 3" BL.

I am looking for comfort. Something that is going to be good on the streets for daily driving. I would rather get beat up off road once in a blue moon than get beat up every day.

People.... what are your recommendations?

Not Sensatrac if you want comfort.

Out of all the different shocks I ran I've gotta say the most comfortable of them all were the stocks shocks.

I agree. I've had Bilstein and Fox and they were quite a bit harsher daily driving. Although off-road they were much better.

Anything from ProComp, Rancho, Monroe, etc... compare to stock?

My truck has 98k on it. You think the shocks are shot?

I don't think anymore, Hurts ma' brain to much.
but i know they're shot. most guys Run Monore Or Bilsteins. for comfort, your gonna want something gas charged, but i'd say ask around, my truck rides decent on the road with Sensetracs, but you feel the bumps.

I run Bilsteins on the Ranger and KYB AGX's on my Miata I like the Bilsteins but love the AGX's eight way adjustable rebound and damping, crank them up for track days and back them off for everyday driving, but don't know if the make them for the Ranger didn't even look when I bought them as they are on the pricey side.
Just checked their website and they don't make AGX's for Rangers They have the GR-2 which to me was pretty soft, Gas-adjust and Mono-max which looks like the AGX's but not adjustable

I have the Kyb gas-a-just and love them.Like a Caddy on road, hit the dirt and bam they firm right up for the bumps. They where a nice upgrade from the stocks and mine only had 30k when i changed them.

I have the bilsteins and they are better than stock offroad but onroad even tho they handle bumps better, I feel like they are alil to soft for regular driving giving you a constant wavey on the ocean type feeling. I was going to go with the new rancho adjustable 9000's but im going coilover up front now, with those ranchos in rear.

Bilstein's hd stock replacement 4600 series shocks ought to work great for you. They are the blue and yellow ones.
